Inside the LVP Granite Fund: What We Covered in Our Exclusive Deep Dive Webinar

Earlier today Barker Wealth hosted an exclusive webinar with the team at Liverpool Partners (LVP), taking a deep dive into the Granite Fund. If you weren’t able to join us live, here is everything you need to know.

A virtual presentation slide for LVP Granite Fund, featuring the title, 'Returns Enhanced Yielding Alternatives,' with a backdrop of large windows and a tree, and a sidebar with four participants' video feeds.

In 60 minutes, Richard Chapman covers what most investors never get access to. The structure and strategy behind the fund. How real assets have delivered through different market cycles. And why this opportunity exists now, when it hasn’t before. Watch the full recording at your convenience.

Something a little different

Most investment funds give you access to listed markets. The Granite Fund is built around something harder to access. Real assets like land and property, alongside government-supported cashflows from operating businesses. It is the kind of portfolio that has historically sat inside large superannuation funds, not in the hands of individual wholesale investors.

Barker Wealth has been working with LVP to make this available to wholesale investors.

Barker Wealth has been working closely with the team at Liverpool Partners, who manage over $1.8 billion in institutional funds, to bring this opportunity to our clients.

What the fund targets

The Granite Fund targets returns of 12% to 15% per annum, with a targeted yield of 5% to 8% paid quarterly and monthly liquidity. Target returns and yield figures are not guaranteed and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

The person behind it

Richard Chapman is the Granite Fund’s portfolio manager and the architect of its seed portfolio. He spent over two decades allocating institutional capital to real assets, most recently as Head of Private Markets at Qantas Super, since acquired by Australian Retirement Trust.

His transition to Liverpool Partners has created an opportunity for wholesale investors to access assets that have historically been available only to large superannuation funds. Assets that were previously available only to large superannuation funds are now accessible to wholesale investors for the first time.

His experience allocating institutional capital to real assets spans more than two decades.

What the webinar covers

In the recording, Richard walks through the structure, strategy and portfolio composition of the Granite Fund. He explains LVP’s investment philosophy and what sets their sustainability-led approach apart from others in the market. He also shares the key themes and opportunities the team is focused on right now, followed by a live Q&A with questions put directly to the team.
